My head itches and I feel like there are bugs in my hair. I honestly hope it is just a weird hallucination or something and not that the kids brought some lice home with them from school. I have thick curly hair and it would be nearly impossible to treat and do all that fine toothed combing.

My sister's two kids had lice for a while and it was a ***** to get rid of them. I really hope your don't have them, but I also really don't want you to be halluncinating.

You are stuck between a rock and a hard place.

Good Luck!~Hugs

I had them as a kid when my sister brought them home from a friend's house. It took nearly 10 hours to comb through my hair, and we still didn't get them all. We had to shampoo and start all over. It grossed my mother out in a big way. I feel bad, she had to comb both my sister's and my hair twice for 10 hours each.

I think about catching lice sometimes and I think it is a fear of mine. Hopefully that is what is acting up. I don't have anyone who can check it until my husband gets home tonight.

It is dyed very red. My avatar picture is actually a shot of my hair. Natural color is blondish brown.

Maybe I just have the creeps (when I was a kid I used to call that feeling spiders). I can sort of feel it on my neck and shoulders and it feels like an itch on the inside of my skin. It isn't quite a chill or a tickle, but a combo of both.

I checked what I could see of my head in the mirror and I didn't see anything.
Thanks for this!

I truly empathize with the feeling, BNLsMOM. It can really be tormenting.

(I've never had anything that was real, though many many freakouts, convinced and unable to get rational about it (probably an OCD/"invisible" bug phobia thing...).

Hope all turns out well!

(I always wondered what your avatar was!)

Today is better. I guess I just had an itchy head day yesterday. Weird.

Maybe your scalp is just real dry...try rubbing some baby oil on it.

I had several days in a row when my scalp itched and it felt like little bugs traveling through my hair. Of course, there weren't (thankfully) and I read soon after that that was not an uncommon sensation with Bipolar 1. It was some sort of a hallucination and right up there with my new keen sense of smell. Ahhh.......the joys of Bipolar........
