I'm not going to be doing the night shift anymore. My boyfriend's hours got switched from 11:30pm to 1:30am & now he's set at 3:30pm until November. Boooo!! Take care all of you guys. Especially manicminer. I'm still feeling as good as I was the other night!! Perhaps your wishes had something to do with it?? Have fun, nightshift!

Thanks for this!

A lot of drinking and some oddball sexual encounters with older/married women

Seems once again I'm it for the night shift. Sounds like you had yourself a kicking' good few days off!! OK, cutting right to it, did you use protection, aren't you afraid of the "husbands", & how do you handle the drinking with your meds.? Now...none of this is any of my business so no need to reply. Since I have a 25yr. old son I'd sure be asking him. AND I'm sure I'm not the only one on here to wonder these things about your days off, based on what your post was. So... call my nosey, ballsy, crude, ect. I deserve it.
I can't wait to see what you post about your next set of days off!!!
You have given a whole new meaning to the sport of "hunting & fishing"! I'd better hush or this might get deleted, it was just to tempting to NOT say anything!
Anyway, hope you are feeling ok & your first shift back hasn't been too bad.
Thanks for this!

No problem being nosey. This is all "annoynymous" so no need to hold back. to answer your questions (b/c i want u to know how your son might think):
1) No, did not use protection (dumb! gonna go get tested)
2)After all I've been through (and especially when I'm manic) I'm not afraid of anything, even death. You could say I've come to terms with myself and my life. A little much for 23, but its what keeps me goin. I also carry a knife and usally a gun at all times. Plus I'm a perty built/strong dude.
3) I'm on Depakote which is also metabolized in the liver. I've been drinking hard since 16 and alcohol was my only chemical coping mechanism until I was hospitalized. Guess that's why they dx'd me an alcoholic too. Alcohol actually seems to elevate my mood. But even so that's defeating the purpose of the mood stabilizing drugs. I'm on no anti-depressants, so no worries there. Booze doesnt increase any side effects of my meds and doesn't make me sick. However, the double shot on my liver is probably going to end up in damage, though all liver screens to date have been clean.

As far as the "hunting/fishing" comment. When I was in college we called it "beaver hunting". Now it seems I've gotten into the sport of "cougar hunting", and I bagged my first big cat this past week. hahahaha

I'm feeling fine now. I came in drunk though. went to the bar for one drink, which she made a double. then she gave a guy the wrong beer and gave it to me free. she was under the impression I was getting off of work so she made another double when I wasnt watching. of course i couldnt let it go to waste. then she gave out another wrong beer and i finished that one too. recovered fast though and just gotta make it through 4 nights sober. 1 down!

My husband used to say that about reaching 40 cause he is an alcoholic. But... at 39 got sick, died twice in ICU & when finally came off ventilator, he woke up preaching like he was at the pulpit that he'd never drink again & he never has, we are 54 now. Oh, he got sick as a direct result of 22 years of hard drinking. He does still have to take meds. though.
So... now he's glad he had a wake up call cause he's still glad to be alive.
Thanks for this!

maybe i'll have one of those. you would think 2 underages (carrying 1 yr 3 mo lisence suspensions) several accidents, lost jobs, and countless relationships destroyed would have done the trick, but not so far.

Been there....have a alcohol induced cardioapathy(weak heart) and was told I would die soon if I kept drinking. I now have a pacemaker to keep me alive. Been sober for more than 5 years now.

Well I hope you get some good rest. Take the anxiously out of "anxiously waiting" or you'll never be able to sleep. Do some stretching/yoga and breathing exercise to relax
Good luck
