I simply suffer from Premenstrual Psychosis. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Menstrual_psychosis

Therefore, I will go off all my meds today.
I don't think I need to see a therapist anymore either. It's not helping anyway hehehe.

I will still be here to support when I can.

I think its all just a misunderstanding. I clearly only have major anger problems and a little overemotionalness. Those things you can get help for, maybe a anger management program. And who isn't emotional. Everyone is. Doesn't make them Bipolar. The manicness only happens once in a blue moon when I get my menses. No need for taking drugs that cause pesty side effects.

I would talk it over with your pdoc before you make and drastic changes. I do hope you are right though and that you don't have bipolar.
Thanks for this!

Are you sarcastic or serious? I agree you shouldn't stop your meds or therapy without consulting with your doctor and/or therapist first. Besides if you do have bipolar it could mean you could go into an episode again, stopping meds can also be physically dangerous.

Be careful when stopping meds. It can cause withrawl symptoms that could be very serious.

I am very serious. And very happy. I see my therpiast Wednesday and will say my goodbyes then. In the meantime, I don't see any harm in not taking my meds. I've never gone off them before but I dont see how it could even hurt me.

If you just stop all your meds at once, your body will not like it one bit. You can go into serious withdrawal symptoms.

Please, if you are seriously not BP, get off your meds with the help from a dr.

Your statement sounds bipolar to me. It sounds manic. If you stop your meds you will a into a seriously manic state or depressed... one never knows.
Thanks for this!

I agree with all of the above - stopping any form of medication cold turkey can be dangerous, and I think particularly so for mood medication. I was on Prozac when I was 20 (it's a bog-standard anti-depressant, so not a 'mood stabiliser' in the same way as other meds) and quitting it cold turkey pushed me over the edge into probably the biggest 'episode' I've ever had - I literally wasn't myself. Staying out all night, sleeping around, behaving recklessly, getting into some seriously dodgy situations, spending/gambling away every last penny I had and then some. And it lasted for weeks. Even if you aren't bipolar, you need to come off the meds gradually, with support from a doctor. Please think about this before making any rash decisions.

Thanks everyone for posting. My mom came home today and I excitedly told her the news and she reminded me of all the times in between my menses that I am manic or depressed. It is clear to me now that I am in a minor mixed episode. Sorry and thanks for the support. I guess I should've known it'd be too good to be true
