I was reading VenusHalley's post and a question came to mind.
What is the most played song on your ipod or mp3 player. I find that music
is very influential to my moods and I tend to get addicted to one song very easily, I switch that song out for a new one from time to time and then play it nonstop. My most played song at the moment is kelly rowland motivation. It shall soon change.

Besides Let there be light, I have two "inspiring" songs I play often.

It's my war by Safura (it is kinda about me, including iron curtain reference!)

What for by Aisha (which is sorta depressing with declaring that God's phone is today out of range hence we are not getting answers to our questions)

another played-a-lot
Seven days to daylight by Vibrasphere (it's just so calming)

Green Day's Album is always one I go to straight away

1. Time of your life (good ridance) is my favourite of all songs sums up mt teenage years.

2. Whitney Houston's Greatest Hits album. When I am depressed listening to her vocals lifts me straight up

All that jazz - the Chicago soundtrack. When I'm hypo manic and when I'm trying to lose weight I listen to it a lot, because I have really good dance to it and I just love it.

Jolene - dolly Parton - just love it whatever the weather

No regrets - Robbie Williams

Cher - gypsies tramps and thieves, we all sleep alone (which is a song that I relate to) and save up all your tears

The type of music I listen to depends on my mood, but they're not my top played really,

sunangel, coming undone from korn is one of my all time favorites! I tend to play it when in mania it also helps me drive above and beyond the speed limit.
Thanks for this!

I have strange musical taste, I think. I listen to alot of New Age, I have a Hindu Chants album, a lot of Alternative Rock, and the list goes on. I shuffle my ipod so they all get equal play, but my favorite is the entire album, Aion, by Dead Can Dance.

I do find that most of the music I listen to is relaxing, but sometimes when I am manicy I like things like System of a Down to really get me going.

DCD, BNLsMOM? Excellent! (Weird timing! BF just re-hung his framed DCD posters -- he saw all their US tours -- yesterday! "Re-hung" because they had been packed for a move that didn't happen.)

As for music, most of it I listen to the same stuff regardless of mood, but will slant the focus sometimes. I LOVE with a ferocious passion music that many people consider depressing. I don't consider it depressing. It has often kept me holding on when I can't relate to anything else. It makes me feel understood and is a great release to be able to sing along with depth and intensity. (And it doesn't need to be "depressing" songs, lol! I sing 'em all!) And when manic-y, you can add a lot of jumping around and dancing! Everything! All at once!

What I listen to:...(remember, I listen to all of it all of the time, the frequency of given songs just shifts a little...)

Joy Division: All. If you saw my apartment, you would have no further questions.

The Cure: most all, but not much on the pop-y ones. I'd hardly know where to begin listing individual songs, but can say that IMO, the albums Pornography and Disintegration are pure brilliance. When manic-y, I cannot get enough of the song 'Give Me It' off The Top.

Interpol: all, esp. TOTBL and OLTA. Manic-y songs? Roland + Say Hello to the Angels. I always have to laugh at a line in Rest My Chemistry... "Just some rage and 3 kinds of yes". "3 kinds of yes". Heheh. Brilliant.

Editors: Just the first two albums.

Much else of course, but these 4 groups are never amiss in my book...and always in high rotation.
(Yikes. Long post. Just try shutting me up on the topic of music... )

Currently my most played according to iTunes is:

Sonata Arctica - Fade to Black

It's a Metallica cover but I prefer this version, probably because I love the band anyway. At the moment I'm feeling myself sink into depression so it fits quite nicely. My favourite songs are those which seem to match my feelings. I actually have a "scrapbook" of lyrics which express what I'm going through better than I can!
