For some reason this awareness days make me feel like... "if you see something, say something!". Maybe I am just paranoid.

Yes, I know nobody is gonna grab me on the street as I walk home with bags full of leopard print pink t-shirts (or something similarly outrageous), dance walking to track on my mp3 player, because I am flying high on waves of hypomania (and think I will save the world... and look good while doing it).

But one never knows.

Awareness may be good when done right, I think.

I was not aware of this! Maybe I can use that as a "get out of jail" free card? Sorry. Bad day.

It's Bipolar Awareness Day? Cool. I'm more aware of it than I'd ever have liked to be, but cool! Nice that they set aside a day for this.

Bad day, sorry about that, but sense of humor seems in pretty fair shape. That seems somehow admirable. Here's hoping the next days are better, even without any national rah-rah going for them.

Not sure that's a good thing, anyway.

DANG! I missed it! I asked for donations to the NMHA (nmha.org) for my B-day last month (I asked a month BEFORE), on Facebook, but NO ONE gave. One DID respond with how she wished she could help and the reasons behind it, which I didn't need, but it showed me how much she cared. A small amount of others can't as I already knew, but NO ONE acknowledged it. :-( Stigma FOREVER??? I hope not!!!

Why wasn't I aware of this? Seriously, even though it seems silly and we joke about it, at least it exists and that is a start toward fighting the stigma.
