Once more I find myself wide awake at 3am in the morn after laying in bed for hours waiting for Mr. Sandman.

It's not like we don't have enough to deal with in every day life. Then lay down to take a short break from reality and escape into sleep and I'll be damned if it didn't take that away too.

Sorry for the whining/*****ing, it's not like I don't know to expect insomnia from time to time. It feels a little therapeutic to ***** about it though.

Thanks for listening!

Do you have meds to help you sleep? I have Seroquel which is the most sedating of all antipsychotics. Best to talk to your doc about this if you haven't yet.
You probably know insomnia is both a trigger and a symptom of mania, though it can also happen during depressive episodes.

As I have been up at 4 am for two nights in a row now, I can join in your gripe session. This happens every time I start to head for hypomania. At least I can look forward to a little bit of that!

Sorry you're feeling so frustrated, lunar. I've struggled with insomnia for years and it's horrible. I really hope you manage(d) to get some sleep. Do you ever use pills?

I am on seroquel and klonopin for sleep. Maybe you need something like that to help sleep? I would talk to my pdoc if I were you because sleep is SOOOO important.

Ugh. I feel your pain, lunar. It's like I'm either manic and not sleeping at all, or I'm depressed and sleeping all the time at weird hours. Is there anything you take for sleep?
