I am not on a mood stabilizer per se. I do take Topamax but I don't think the dosage is high enough as I keep swinging. Take me off this ride I want off I didn't bargain for this when I gave you my tokens LOL. My high's aren't real high I just get super friendly and super talkative. My mom hates that swing because I don't leave her alone. The low's are what are slowly killing me. I don't want to shower, eat, all I want to do is sleep, I get real quiet, I notice my clumsiness is worse, etc. An example is yesterday we went to my Great Aunt's 90th Birthday party and I had been looking forward to it so I could see my Uncle John and other family members it had been almost 20 years since I had seen them. Anyway I woke up in a funk and even though I put on a brave face and acted like I was excited to be there as soon as we got there I was ready to go.
If you were me would you make an appt with the pdoc and rework your meds? Jan

Yes, my dear. Your pdoc is the only one who can make these decisions.
Hope you get this straightened out & feel better very soon! ![]() ![]() |

YES. When we aren't well it's up to us to take action- seeing Pdoc, meds tweaked, so on....

topomax is known for causing confusion and disorientation. I've never heard of it being used alone for this condition. I'd definitely talk to the doc and express your concern. Let us know how it is going.
