My old pdoc told me about this, so I take 2 capsules every morning on a full stomach. I have no idea if it works or not, but the research shows it definitely does help with people who have BP Disorder.

I take 1 super strength capsule morning and night - but thats probably not enough. The studies that they have done on it use quite high doses...
I take it just in case it helps...

here's how omega 3 fish oil works for depression:

Quote:
They are also effective in stabilizing the walls of the cells of the nervous system. Recent studies show that these two types of omega 3 essential fatty acids were also found effective in increasing serotonin, a neurotransmitter affected in depressed patients. Researchers are still trying to find out more about Omega 3 fatty acids and what makes it so effective on depression. Therefore it is not advised to take Omega 3 as a medication for depression without consulting a doctor first.

I'm taking it, along with St. John's Wort, gingko biloba and a multi. Can't say it's hurting, can't say it's helping but I seem to read only positive things about it on the net and it seems to be a useful supplement.
