When I've worked with Jungian therapists on depression (before my BP dx), none were insistent on meds. Have you worked with any? Don't know whether the BPdx would make a difference.

I want my memory back. I have ****** short term memory now and I struggle to keep up in classes.
I don't really want to be on medication but I do it to please the people around me. Also it doesn't help that when I do try to get off my medication I become delusional. ![]()

I think the constant feeling of fear of what comes next. I am tired of waiting for the other shoe to drop. I am fairly new to bipolar and all the wonderful meds (and side effects). I hope things get easier and the fear goes away as time goes by.

for me it's my manic phases, not feeling in-conroll of my behavior, and the stress it causes loved ones / relationships

I guess if I had to toss out just one thing it would be having the memories of all the horrendous things I've said, done and endured since I first became wildly manic. It lasted for months before I was finally committed and then I formed all the horrific memories I now have of my life during the depression that followed.

For me the most frustrating thing is the depression. So deeply depressed that even when you try to keep your thoughts from turning negative and/or dark you can't stop it. After that it would be the medication issue of finding what works and then dealing with the side effects.
