If I understand Seroquel dosage correctly, and I may not remember the detail, yours is for sleep and depression, and what you experience is more like a mixed state. I would ask for Lithium because it is a true mood stabilizer and is a gold standard in the field, but you would find divergent opinions on this board as there are many drugs now, each with its own side effects, plus there are individual reactions. So you are entering the land of trial and error. Again, I would start with Lithium and see if you can tolerate it, together with Seroquel. There is a thread titled "Who's on Lithium?" and you can read more about it, and about the precautions, in that thread.

I was on lamotrigine/Lamictal/lamictin, which worked initially but not so much now. We've ADDED Lithium..will see how that goes.
But I agree that it sounds like a mixed episode. Have you been dx'd Bipolar?

Lithium has been my one true fall back with the most manageable side effects for me. But not everyone has had this experience.

I have had a good experience with lithium. I have had a few breakthroughs though and now I've added Zyprexa.
