4am this side of the pond and I am wide awake... don't even feel like sleeping! I've been in a ridiculously good mood all evening though so I'm not hugely bothered by it! Shame about missing the party, is there nothing happening Saturday you could go to?

So I go to bed last night at 5am-ish and some idiot comes knocking on my door at 11am asking if he could buy an old SUV sitting on the corner of my property. I said, No, it's not mine. He: Aww, were you asleep? Did I wake you and then he starts laughing at me for sleeping at 11am.

Times like these I really wish I had a tazer. Is it not enough that my door mat says, 'Go Away'?

Idiots

I cannot STAND people judging me when it comes to sleep. I can often go nocturnal if I have days off, and throughout my life people have called me lazy if I've slept in late or during the day. I'm like yeah, but I didn't sleep ALL ****ING NIGHT!! It really is a sore point with me even when people are 'joking'. Nobody understands insomnia unless they've been through it (same case with depression, bipolar, etc).

Wow, 'scuse the mini-rant!!

Sounds like my kind of town, manicminer! I miss my fair share of social gatherings but it's more my own fault for suddenly deciding I can't cope with the outside world every now and again!
Thanks for this!

My exBF gave the shotgun away but I think my S&W .40 would suffice.

My pdoc told me once that I am an idiot magnet. I think he is right.

Haha. Didn't know there was a "name" for it, but yeah, I seem to have a knack for that too(!)
Do you know the show The IT Crowd? They were talking about answering the door. One of the characters said he always went by his mother's advice: "A closed door is a happy door."
I almost had to stick a note over the doorknob to remember it. Think I've started getting the hang of it now...
