Does anyone just crash when they get home from work, get really irritable and annoyed? I work out at 6, work all day, they come home and make dinner. I just get so annoyed with my husband, and he does nothing wrong. Wish I didn't feel so crappy when I get home, want to relax and have a little fun.

I need a 15-min nap when I first get home. And I mean when I get in the door ... often just make the couch. Everyone knows this & lets me be. Then I "come to"--& I'm fully available.

That seems to transition me & fortunately no one minds.

Yes, I need a decompression time frame before I even deal with the family. Usually it's about 1/2 an hour. They are ok with it because they know my job is stressful.

My kids joke that 6:30 is Mommy's Nap time. I get up at 6 a.m. get me and my kids ready, get them to school, myself to work, then work 8 hours, get the kids, get home, make dinner, baths for the kids, then crash while they are watching TV before bed. I'm completely worn out all the time. It's really tough and really interfers with family relationships. I was getting up early to work out but then I switched my workout until the evening and sleeping longer in the a.m. It gives me a little more energy in the evening. I also tried only getting up early twice during the week to do some cardio and then doing a weight workout at night the opposite days of the week. If I want to do any long or hard workouts I save them for the weekend. Try changing up your routine and see if it helps.

P.S. Does your husband help with dinner or maybe able to feed himself a few times a week?
