things are going OK, I get myself in trouble by saying or doing the wrong things. Right now I'm in trouble at work for a bad attitude and a personality problem. I tried to explain the bipolar, but I don't think the boss got it. Bipolar gets me in so much trouble sometimes. I hate that. I don't even realize I'm doing these things. Things like yelling when I think I 'm just talking, or dropping the F-bomb without meaning to.
Sigh.

Wow, you told them at work that you're bipolar?! Brave gal. My workplace already thinks I'm bizarre, eccentric--if they had an official label they could translate as crazy I'm sure they'd find a way to get me outta here in no time!

Good luck. Have you been thru this hassle before? Do you do freelance writing?

I agree with you roadrunner. I try to keep my work life and my home life separate. I would never let work know that I am Bipolar. I feel like they would find a way to get rid of me.

Sorry to hear it is getting you in trouble ladyjrnlist. It probably is hard for your boss to understand why these things happen but as a boss he should educate himself on things that affect his/her staff.

I wish I could keep my illness a secret.... it's too obvious to hide, lol. Hang in there Lady. I just know i have to work that much harder to prove my illness won't affect my job. Sad but true.

Lady (((((( HUGS )))))))

I think you are brave for letting your employer know about being bipolar .. That said of course it wont excuse you if you get out of hand at work ,,but people slip up and get loud or drop a few words here and there that arent bipolar too .. LOL ..

Do you have a Therapist ??? If so let them know what happened and hopefully they can help you learn some coping skills and how to deal with work and stress..Maybe if you speak to your boss and since they know about your illness explain you are seeing someone to help you control your actions and reactions ... Many people once they see you are activly seeking help will back off a little ????

Keep your chin up ... most things blow over when the next drama hits at work .. you wont be in the spotlight that long LOL

Wsihing you Peace and Love ~
