So its 248am sunday morning ... and here I sit ALREADY worried about my appt on monday at 320pm with my pdoc ... Like i dont have enough to worry about.. I already know what med he wants me to try next after my epic fail on risperadal..

The Med is Fanapt ..Yep I have already researched it ... first released 2010.. typical sideeffects blahblahblah ,,little more about fainting and low blood pressure and heart issues than a few of the more common ones.. Yes all meds have sideeffects .. its said to be weight neutral ( HOORAY ) but of course NEW means expensive and im losing my insurance the end of the year so unless they can keep me in samples there will be no point in even starting it.

Problem is I cant seem to find any reviews on this medication from people who have actually used it ... I have read the companies "blahblahblah " info ( dont trust there opinion of there own medication),,but I prefer to hear from live people how the medication was/is for them.

I worry way too much all the time about something or another and if i ( gasp) cant think of something to wory about i will worry that i have nothing to worry about !!!!! ( yes all stuff im working on in therapy )

Sigh .. It just another nite of insomnia ( like the norm) and im worried about something that hasnt even happened yet ...

But hey I started LACTATING from the last new medication ,,,, soooo errrrrrr maybe its ok for me to worry .

I have slept about 9 hours total in the last 6 days .. So lack of sleep isnt helping.

Hope everyone is having a good weekend ~

Hi - I have only tried Lamectal so far for bipolar, and stopped because i was so drowsy and zero sex drive. I'm scared to try another one. My son tried risperdal when they thought he only had depression, it didnt help him. Now he takes seroquel, when i can get him to take it.
I think you should tell your doctor you're not comfortable with that new medicine, be honest. Is there one that worked before that you could try again?
Sorry if i'm not much help i'm new on here, but want to help. And i'm having insomnia too. Good Luck at the appointment tomorrow

Thanks !!

I was just diagnosed this year at age 44 with bipolar ( had it all my life was just never diagnosed and on treatment ) 2 years ago I went from feeling fine physically one day to the next every single inch of me turned into severe pain ,, Diagnosed Fibromyagia ! I was a damn lab rat back then they kept throwing me med after med after med .. for me NO medication works for my fibromyalgia i took the gammet from tylenol to a morphine patch ,, nothing touches it ,,So my T and I worked on some relaxing and medicattion ,hypnotherapy etc.. my pain level is always a 7 but I do cope better now and i no longer cry if someone gives me a hug .. I have gone thru 4-6 meds for my bipolar already with either no help or terrible side effects .. so im a bit gun shy 40lbs later and im miserable and question what the purpose of it all is ,, I have yet to feel anywhere near " stable" I rapid cycle so my posts on here sometimes are a bit odd ,,one minute Im a whining mess the next I can offer fabulous advice and i seem great ...***sigh***

I do plan on talking to my pdoc at length about this new med ,,,,i cant find any real user info about ,,

Im guess I just want to stop being that lab rat for a lil while

Thanks ))))
