Day four of new AD and I still have zero appetite, Ive barely ate anything in the last three days.

Just wondering if this is something that usually wears off once your body adjusts or if this is something I should be concerned about. I realize I am supposed to be eating but I feel really weird. Like sort of nauseated but not, just a weird feeling. Also it's making me feel very anxious, hoping that will wear off.

I have a family dinner at the in-laws to go tonight. I'm getting very anxious about it. I've just started treatment for anorexia and some of them know this. They always comment on my weight or amount of food I take, ugggh now if I can't eat at dinner it's gonna be an issue. They don't even have a dog I can slip the food too under the table.

Anika (((hugs)))

I took Zoloft years ago and i literally lost any desire for food .. it did level out over a couple weeks ...had the nausea ,, and who wants to eat while the nausea is happening ?????

If someone comments on your lack of food etc ,,I would just say Im on a new medication and have some nausea ..then change the topic to your adorable PUG

Good luck and I hope the medicationhelps you

Anika, I am miserable for you!
*gentle hugs*

Shame on those ILs! All ILs ought to have a dog, if only to guarantee a redeeming value! <grin>

Hang in there, do the best you can. Several ADs have caused me nausea/heartburn for the first few days.

Thanks you two! My two pillars

Dinner went ok. Didn't eat much but no one said anything. I didn't talk the whole time. My bf said I haven't been talking hardly for almost a week. I did cry, almost the whole way home. Been doing a lot of that. Actually my bf texted me today calling me Captian Quiet. And the crying isn't like my typical depressed crying. It's more like your pregnant crying. I have no idea whats going on.

Be careful with that lack of appetite - that doesn't combine well with anorexia! If it keeps up, make sure to tell the doc.

I know what that random crying is like, it's really alarming and frustrating because there's no real reason for it.

I can't say that I've ever lost my appetite on ADs, though at first Wellbutrin seemed to help curb my appetite a bit. I also don't lose my appetite when depressed; quite the opposite, I'll eat everything I can as though that will somehow make me feel better, which it does not...
