Hi manic,
I'm glad you made it through so far. I know that feeling about being sick of wearing glasses its been 2 months for me, can't afford the contacts right now and I miss them like hell. As for the activity ? absolutely nothing has been exciting for me lately. I have been in a deep depression for a couple of months. Dr. said its my situation, not depression and won't give me anti-depressants because he doesn't want me to get manic. |

![]() But aside from that, I really get most excited about my work. Not every part of it, of course, but when I get to really sink into analysis and writing, get that ADHD hyperfocus going on, it's a marvelous head rush.

Sex is a close second to bull riding. Why sex comes second is usually you dont have the fear of a 2000 lb animal trying to kill you. I guess it all depends how kinky things get in the bedroom

Cool on the movie. Haha I cannot post anything in the success story. I mean I guess I'm still here. I hope we have something posted in there soon.
My bf just bought a 60 inch 3d tv. I'm not really a movie watcher but I'm sure I'll have to be now. And I'm one of the lucky ones that can't actually see 3d all I get is a massive headache. Which reminds me about an article I once read about Bipolars and schizophrenics not seeing optical illusions ???? |

Some 3D is better than others. Some cinematography/sets etc don't really lend themselves well to the effect, and honestly, I don't know why they try to force the format on those(!) Well, I do, lol. So they can say "Ooooh, look! It's 3D!" and charge the big bucks. (Alice in Wonderland was a total waste of 3D imo.) The most memorable use of it, for me, was very small and subtle. In Coraline, there is a feather that floats out. It was EVERYTHING I COULD DO not to reach out for it. It was RIGHT THERE!!!
Do love me the old-school 3D glasses! They used to have this Halloween thing on an art walk at a place where they taught kids to use color to 3D effect. Sure, I'd don the glasses and look at those paintings... then waahhh! wooooh! Lights, you name it, I'd be lolling my head all over the place and giggling. ![]() I'm sorry it gives you a big headache, Anika -- that sucks! (I can't handle strobe lights. At all. They totally unhinge me.) So speaking of optical illusions and stuff... what do you all think about those Magic Eye pics that were so popular awhile back? (I could NEVER see them! Which is weird, because I can look at a popcorn ceiling and see a million pictures!) |

Bummer on the getting a headache instead of seeing 3D. Do you also get motion sick? I do, and I can often "see" the 3D imaging instead of the united picture that you're supposed to see, so the movement sometimes starts to trigger a little nausea.

IZ, I could never see the picture in those. No matter how hard I tried or untried.
Ani, I see the ununited 3d imaging. Really blurry, and makes me nauseous. Like being motion sick. Yes I get motion sick too. So now that absolutely everything must be made in 3d weather it should be or not is going to be awesome. |

Something that I found to be interesting is that the 3D effect does not seem to translate to computer. To me, anyway. I'd seen Coraline in the theatre. 3D. Later, got it out of the library and watched it on the computer and for the life of me, I couldn't tell (and yeah, I was on the 3D side of the disc, lol
![]() That might be an option to check out, Anika, though it certainly is no 60" tv(!) If it was a movie you wanted to watch (as you say you're not much of a movie watcher) without getting a headache. (Or something to try anyway.) Btw, I didn't even know there was such a thing as a 3D tv, lol. |
