For those who care to know, my depression has finally lifted and right now my mood seems to be in the normal range. Here's hoping it lasts. Yay!
Only one thing is bugging me and that is that my pdoc now says I am BPD on top of bipolar. I don't agree with him, so we will be having a discussion about this in depth.
Anyways, so far so good.

ALWAYS glad to hear when depression lifts, ladyjrnlist! Yea!
Don't worry about the other. You'll get it sorted. Remember, either way, you're still the same lovely person you've always been, regardless!
Thanks for this!

Yay! I'm glad to hear things are going better.

The BPD thing, they at first said I might have it, but I didn't fit the criteria after all. I think they are just so similar.

BPD and bipolar can be confused for each other or co-exist. I know that I have borderline traits but I don't meet criteria for dx. I am certain that DBT, standard treatment for BPD is helpful for bipolar as well and you can pursue it while exploring the dx.

My last pdoc thought I might be borderline instead of bipolar. I agree with Merlin, it's complicated and can be hard to tell, but therapy should be helpful for either in the meantime.
