So our cat had gotten out about four weeks ago. We didn't see him for about a week, then my husband started seeing him around the garage (which is not attached and far back on your yard.) Anyway, he couldn't get him to come in. Then about a week after that I started hearing him cry and he would be out by the garage and I would try to get him in, but he would just run.

Anyway, last week our stupid dog was going nuts outside barking and snarling (which she doesn't ever do that,) and I heard a cat, so I rushed to backdoor and saw our stupid dog chasing off our cat! No wonder he won't come back in. Our dog has never shown any aggression toward anyone or other animals ever, including the cat!

Anyway, then a day after that we had a really bad cold snap for about three days, with temperatures under 10 and all the way down to -2. My husband and I were thinking... "Oh no."

But, yesterday I went out to run an errand and I hear "Meow! Meow!" And I turn to see the cat sprinting towards me! He ran to me and let me pick him up and everything. I took him in and he's so skinny and some of his fur fell out and he meowed for like 3 hours unless eating. But it is a miracle he is home alive!

I guess even cats like to go on vacation.

That's so great! Good, good kittycat. Don't let him eat or drink too much too fast.

But it's for happy-making!

I don't think it was much of a vacation. Unless it was like that movie The Hangover because he really seems like he had an adventure. He's been very cuddly, which he wasn't before, and meowing a lot. He was always a talker, but not his voice has this tone to it like "you won't believe what I've seen out there!"
