Hang in there. I don't think I am sure what that is. If I have ever done it, I may not have known what it was. But I hope you feel better soon.

Would it help you any to keep track of the cycles? It might help you move your attention away from feeling yucky toward trying to objectively evaluate how things are.
Sorry you're having such a hard time! I know what you mean, I've moved from rapid cycling to ultra rapid cycling recently and it's really hard to tolerate. ![]()

So here's a question I have b/c I've been experiencing some mood swings lately that are a bit frightening, along with agitation and irritability ---
is it possible to have periods of rapid cycle and then be a "regular BPII" again later?

I believe that is possible yes... I went from predictable DSM bpII cycles, to every 2nd day cycling, and now by the looks of it weekly cycles...

Are rapid cycles "only" for BP I? It seems like most people with BP II also encounter rapid cycling at some point.

I saw my T today and we talked alot about my rapid cycling.. he told me bipolar I and II can rapid cycle ... Im still trying to find a medication that will help slow my cycles down. I have been having this rapid cycling for monthssssssssssssssss ,,,and the halucinations are still around .
I try to just to ride the waves but Im just about fed up with the whole " medication" route ... I can actually feel things changing in my brain .. I know it sounds nuts ,,, My T told me he has had a few other bipolar patients that have reported the same thing ... Thank goodness I have my T Richard I swear he keeps me sane and helps me deal with a lifetime of issues. Thanks for the support ![]()
