Ever since I have been on the LIthium, my body chemistry seems to be doing strange things to material. Anything that is in contact with my skin for a long period of time (especially green) turns color. I looks like either a reddish color of a yellowish color. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced something similar?

Nothing like that, but it has made milk and many milk products taste really yucky...ice cream, thankfully is still OK!!!

No, not the skin. It is the fabric itself that turns...but only certain colors. I think it may have to do with my body chemistry. It's odd.

I have not heard that but find it interesting. These meds can have many strange side effects sometimes. It would be a good idea to run what is happening by your pdoc so they can be informed on what is going on.

I've been on Lithium for a little over a year, and never had anything like that happen. The ONLY body chemistry change I noticed was it made my deodorant stain my clothes yellow (even after switching to invisible stuff). I asked my doc, and he was at a loss as well. So, I just have some extra work to do on laundry day Odd Question
