On my two day leave from hospital (so I can attend my weekly DBT session on Thursdays) so thought I'd check in.

We're not 100% on what was causing my suicidal ideation due to my reasonably positive mood...but we think it was more associated with mania and psychosis (a sort of excitement for death and obsession with the method I chose). I've been put on a couple of new meds, as they can't increase my Quitiapine due to the abnormal ECG results (erratic heart rate and arrhythmia).

Not sure how long I'm going to be in for. I've only been allowed home leave under strict rules and my mum saying she will be able to keep my 100% safe for short periods of time.

All in all, everything is going okay.

Hello RB, thanks for checking in. Glad you decided to go inpatient, you sound like you have a very optimistic view of things, which is great.

It's good to see you "smile"...even if it is just in an emoticon, I sense a real one behind it. So glad you went in.

Thanks for checking in, RB! There has been a lot of concern here for you and it's a relief to read your optimistic message. I'm glad that you're figuring out what may have been the problem. Both my mania and psychosis were enough to throw me dangerously off track. Good luck with the new meds. I hope you keep making good progress and that you'll be ready to go home soon. Be patient and keep yourself safe. PC will want to give you a big welcome back when you're ready!
