Six months ago, I suddenly noticed that I could hear my own heart beat very strongly in my left ear. It hasn't stopped since. All kinds of tests were done to rule own scary things, like impending stroke. Nothing bad was found wrong with me. I still have to see the otolaryngologist one more time. But I'm told by my PCP that nothing can be done about it.

At times, I become unaware of it. Conversation, or even TV, tends to drowned it out.

If I'm in bed and feeling depressed, I get to wishing that it would please stop. Most of the time, I'm not too bothered by it.

I have pretty severe mood dysregulation. I do not see a connection between the tinnitus and the mood disorder, as far as "cause" goes.

Thanks Anika, Still the same, loud, high pitch... It's like "something" following me around, like I should be able to turn around & tell "it" to shut up!
But "it" is in my head, I'm not seeing things or voices, don't have a headache, IDK...
Have slept more in the last 3wks than ever before.
Meds haven't changed & take them like I should.
Thankfully I have a T appt tomorrow (Monday)

Hope you are doing ok.

I THINK I have it there's intense high-pitched ringing in my left ear, mosly noticable late at night when everybody's asleep.

It's VERY loud during hypomania and this confuses me, coz I think it was caused by noise damage (my membrane ruptured and leaked out) the pain of FEELING your eardrum vibrate was EXCRUTIATING!
