Im super excited My husband and I are heading to Florida Thursday nite to see our kids .. He has 2 sons down there and I Have my daughter whom I havent seen in MONTHSSSSSSSSSSSS ..

Because I have Fibro and bipolar travelling is hard as hell on me So im preparing and making plans to make sure I can get decent sleep ( my huge bipolar trigger) Physically the trip is always terrible for me due to my Fibro pain so I know we will have to make lots of stops to allow me to get out of the car and move around its about a 13-14 hour drive ,, UGH

Im just worried im going to wind up in a mess despite taking all the precautions I can

The thrill of seeing the kids will make whatever happens worth it tho .

I do know...... I despise packing Hahahahaahh

It sounds like you will have a super time after you get there. Good job, taking precautions. You might want to set up something good for after you get back, so the drive home will be easier with something to look forward to.

Yay! A vacation!

When my family made a long trip to Florida from Michigan when I was a kid, we had three kids with ADHD, an infant, and a kid with cerebral palsy in the car. I'm sure you can guess how much fun that was... LOTS of stops along the way! Make sure you have some audiobooks or lots of music to keep the drive from getting too boring.

If you can take the time, it's great to add a little sightseeing along the way, like making a stop at Mammoth Caves. One of the best meals I remember from those years of my life was the Southern cooking from a little diner in Georgia, and fried clams and the most amazing peanut butter-chocolate milkshakes from a roadside stand.

You will have fun! Just make sure you take care of yourself - putting extra effort into planning can really help.

I am really excited for you, it's great to see you happy! That's worth a least a few WOOTS alone. Your daughter must be pretty excited too I bet, to get to see her mom!

I can't wait to hear how your trip went when you return, I hope this will be a very smooth trip!
