I've been awake for 83 hours without so much as a minutes sleep, I suffer from Bipolar, Insomnia and Anxiety. My wife is getting very concerned with my behaviour and if I'm honest I'm starting to get concerned myself. Obviously the lack of sleep can cause Issue's but I've been on a massive high for the 4 day's but now as this night's progressed I’ve slowly noticed my concentration Is dropping, tiredness Is making an appearance, my thought’s are wondering, and I've started seeing dark figure’s, silhouettes and shadow’s I feel like their creeping into my line of sight and wherever I look, they’re there, waiting for me. Now is this normal for sleep deprivation or Is It down to my Bipolar? I've no real experience so to speak as I was diagnosed last year. Can anybody help as I feel like Im going loopy..

I can't tell you what it is due to, but, that is almost to the letter why I went into the hospital. I'm sorry your going through this, it was a very bad place for me. I agree with Trippin2.0, some sleep would more then likely help. They had me to sleep in no time when I was admitted.

Hello! Welcome.
![]() I agree with Trippin. Sleep deprivation aboslutely does cause hallucinations. The longer you're awake the worse it can be. Also staying awake so long is not good for your physical health, either. I think if you have not slept at all you should call your doctor. You need to get sleep soon, 83 hours is a long time. ![]() I hope you feel better soon.
