Anyone know of a solution that actually works for sleepless nights when manic? I don't drink milk plain, reading keeps me going untill the book is finished, sex hypes me up, a stroll outside alone is out of the question ( dangerous ) Should I ask my doc for meds??? Listening to music now have some school term planning to do but Urggh! Hubby and kiddies sleeping, I feel like in school again when I couldn't sleep wow I'm surprised it took soooooo long to resurface! I AM WIDE AWAKE !!!!! Feel like running a marathon!

Try exercise - the effect of exercise is sometimes unpredictable: it may hype you up or it may slow you down. Good luck!

I think you need to see a doctor. For normal people, having sex causes a release that leads to sleep. Not sleeping after sex were signals of my most horrible manic attacks, including one that led to a suicide attempt. It is abnormal when sex hypes you up - I know it very well. You need medications.

Wow, HB, I honestly never heard that 1 before. And it ALWAYS makes me hyper. Sometimes not right away, but give it 5min and I can go again, and again, or run a marathon, or go dancing, whichever options easiest... Hmmm food for thought..
