Hello Everyone,
I'm new to this forum and was diagnosed with Bipolar 4 years ago but have been suffering most of my life. I've been on lithium and seroquel since getting out of the hospital this Christmas. I've spent the last hour or so trying to find cold medication that we're allowed to take and haven't had any luck. What do you take for a runny nose. I'm currently depressed so if the only side effect is a chance to be manic then I'm up for that. |

I don't take Lithium. My meds don't really cause a lot of concern when it comes to cold, flu and over the counter pain meds. I think you should walk up to the pharmacist's counter and ask. Pharmacists are the experts on your drugs. With drug interactions, it better to ask a pharmacist than your doctor!

I ask the pharmacist... I take plain old tylanol (called panadol over here) or ibuprofen (celled nurofen here). I use spray nasal decongestants because they don't really interact with much and steer clear of anything with pseudoephidrine or phenylephidrine. sorry if the spelling isn't right - never was my strong suit!!!!
