I keep getting intrusive thoughts. And also my thoughts sometimes are more random and don't make much sense.

I'm having vivid dreams which I enjoy and sometimes would like to dream more because of it.

Thoughts?

I always say my head is like a radio dial set to seek. It just skips through one thought to the next. Someone can say "Wow the sky is a pretty blue today" and I'll say "I once saw this really nice car and I would like a car like that," (because the car was blue but people will just stare at me like huh?)

I get intrusive thoughts. I get them more when I'm mixed and not doing well. They are usually scary thoughts and angry. I don't like it.

As for dreams, my dreams are incredibly vivid and realistic. I have very weird dreams but I also have very intensly real dreams. I have very realistic nightmares. Horrible nightmares about things happening to me and my family. I hate those. But sometimes I have really wonderful and pleasant dreams. Sadly, I have more nightmares than not.

My thought when reading your post was uh oh, did you miss a dose of your medication or recently increase the dosage of one? Both can trigger vivid dreams for me, I often refer to them as Steven Spielberg techno color dreams. They say that we don't dream in color I don't think that is true. It can also cause intrusive thoughts. I was so sensitive to Paxil even if I missed one dose, the next night I could count on vivid dreams and night sweats. Probably due to interrupted sleep I would feel like I was in a fog the next day. I think that might have been the reason for the intrusive thoughts.

I also have dreams where I wake up l having a panic attack. My heart racing, chest pressure, night sweats, all my little hairs are standing on end, my stomach twisted into a knot, I never remember what those are about but I know I have them when I am highly stressed. Those are much different than the techno dreams.

Same here. It's comforting to know I'm not alone on this.

I get intrusive thoughts when depressed. I get vivid dreams when changing meds. Intrusive thoughts are usually negative dreams can be good or bad...

I get intrusive thoughts on the occasion (see my post "come closer so I can punch your face" lol) and I find I only get them when I decide to be daring and not take my medication as I should. And usually the intrusive thoughts are negative-no scratch that...they are always negative, and hateful.....so no, I dont think you are alone in this at all....sorry you feel like this
