Hey ya'll!

So, I am either a hit or miss on these forums, and just haven't been as active as I used to be due to homelessness, jail and now rehab through everything I've been through the last two years.

So, I am finally trying to move out of the rehab, but it has to be voted on by the community. I am super nervous, and my anxiety is kicking in. I never really had anxiety in my life before, but this feels awful. I just want this whole thing to be over with and it is just not. It feels like a continuing nightmare that I just can't get out of.

How do you guys cope with anxiety? Any tips?

I admire you so much for turning your life around and venturing forth into unknown territory. I would be so scared if I was in your shoes.

Since I have not shouldered the crushingly heavy burdens you have carried, I am unfit to offer you advice.

I can suffer anxiety over little things at times so I cannot imagine what you are going through.

Sometimes it helps my distress to lean on people here on these Forums. Maybe you might find it helpful to post here everyday or anytime you are feeling scared.

I fear my response to you is so poor compared to your challenges. Hopefully others here will prove .ore helpful to you

I will keep you in thoughts. There are.many people here going through awful of scary stuff. So I hope you will not feel so alone with your anxiety. Lean on us.

I feel my words to you are worse than useless but I don't know what to say. So very very sorry that you are suffering so!.

Thank you so much for your advice! You really helped me because you were the only one to respond to this post. I admire your strength and courage to put yourself out there on here. I used to be a PC member every day, posting here and going through what everyone else goes through here. I will probably start posting here every day again. Thanks again for sharing, any victory for today is worth celebrating.

Update: they voted for me to move out and I leave here Sunday. Yay for victories!

It's nice to see you back checking in, LadyShadow! I'm also glad that you've been in supportive treatment rather than very sick, abusing substance(s), and vulnerable alone on the outside.

I have never experienced homelessness, but do understand a little the anxiety you feel about soon needing to leave your support house (for lack of better words). During my many hospitalizations I of course missed my husband, but often the hospital felt safer than the outside. Sometimes it was a reprieve, of sorts.

But I hope you will receive support and direction for your upcoming transition. I hope they are confident that you will make a safe transition. Use any tools they've taught you and be determined. I know it isn't easy, though.

Thanks so much for that! It's been hard when you have things hanging over your shoulders, that's when my anxiety is the worst. But thanks for checking in!

It's good to see you Soup! I have gained a lot of tools since being in this program and I think they will help guide my future. I only experienced homelessness after jail, which was the worst time in my life. All the hospitalizations I went through was nothing compared to the past two years. But there is light and dawn is approaching and soon this will all be behind me. Thanks so much for the support!

I’m so sorry for what you have been through, it sounds absolutely awful @LadyShadow
I too suffer from anxiety so I have little advice for you, I’m so sorry about that. I just know that it can be so incredibly horrible to experience.
I just wanted to send you some positive wishes and thoughts and to share that we are all rooting for you!
All the best!
