I can easily spend 4 hours out in the yard working in the garden, despite the fact that I can't handle even 20 minutes of other physical activity. Then I wonder why I'm so bloody sore and achy the next morning!

I would love to learn how to garden. I have been think about that all day today. I need to find a hobbie and that sounded very theriputic. just you and nature trying to make things grow. But the thing is I don't know the first thing about gardening and it seems that I can't even keep a simple house hold plant alive, LOL.

Jaypop30~ Its EASY...and theraputic in my humble opinion...Just follow the directions on the packet of seeds or the flowers.(Actually I would advise u to get planting and watering info online) Just make sure it gets the right amount of light and water needed for its particular type of plant. They grow and mature and so beautiful! Fall is always a little depressing to watch everything die, but if they are perenials they are back in Spring! Whoohoo! As far as house plant go, OVERwatering generally kills them. Unless they are a tropical plant that need a lot of moisture. Let us know what u decide, k?
Thanks for this!

For me there are few things more therapeutic than digging in the dirt and watching things grow. I can't do nearly as much as I used to because of arthritis and other health problems, but I still have a couple of raised planters and some containers and I fill those with new flowers each Spring. I have a few perennials and some bulbs that bloom every year, too.

I have the opposite problem. When I'm manic you'll often hear me say "Are you kidding it's only been two minutes!"
