I did have trouble......was bored to tears with food, didn't care what I ate or IF I ate. Dropped about 25 lbs. over six months. Then I went on psych meds, and suddenly it was, "HELLO! You're gonna eat now!" I've gained 20 pounds I didn't need in just over two months. I'm not happy about it, but I don't see myself going off the meds just to lose those 20 lbs., when that would be like a $100 discount off a Ferrari. Just sayin'.

LOL, well then I pray for these meds to kick in. For I could really use the mentality that " Hello its ok to eat."

I do, it isn't that I'm avoiding food or even have negative feelings about eating. I'm near underweight, skinny pole of a woman. I don't derive any pleasure from eating and don't feel hungry often. I either forget to wat, can't be bother because I'm busy then forget that I was hungry or I'm just being lazy.

There have been many a time where I get faint, panic that something horrible is going on with my body only to remember that I hadn't eaten in a day or two.

For the last month or so, I think I've eaten maybe once a day. I drink a fair amount of coffee and energy drinks, and I smoke some. I do shift work and it is all short notice so, no regular schedule whatsoever thus, no appetite or eating habits.

I like Seroquel munchies though, when I get them.

I have anorexia so yes, I have a very hard time eating. But also when I'm depressed, stressed, anxious, or manic eating isn't on my list either. Right now I just worked my way back up to around 700-800 calories a day. My bf is really pushing me for 2000 but that seems like an impossible feat. I can't really afford to keep losing weight tho.

Why do you think you aren't eating? Depression? Or something else? Just be careful and pay attention. Malnutrition isn't fun to deal with and it's hard to correct. You don't want to end up with a full blown eating disorder either. Sorry not trying to lecture. Just be cautious. I know how difficult getting food in can be. But I have cause my body serious damage from starvation and I have not been able to reverse all of it. You can be malnourished and not look like it either, so just be aware.

I hope your meds help you out with this.

I have an eating disorder so... My anti depressant makes me hungry but I was not allowed on one that did not (ie. welbutrin). Do you take your meds. in the AM or PM?

When I get upset, I don't eat. This can last for days. Then once it is over I'm starving, so I eat more. This plays havoc on my metabolism...

My other problem is even when I'm hungry I can't think of what to eat. If you ask me, "what are you in the mood for?" my brain will respond either too many responses or unreasonable responses. Like a bowl of shredded cheese. Or a stick of butter. I hate deciding what to eat. I also usually only want to eat candy, cookies, or cake like substances. I have super high cravings for fast acting carbs...
