Hi.

I'm trying to figure out where in these forums do cyclothymics such as myself belong. Is this the proper forum to seek help/share? If not, where should I go?

The problem is depending on what book/site you read, cyclothymia is considered "soft bipolar" or a different illness all its own. I'm wondering where the stance is here.

You are welcome here. I've had one pdoc tell me that I am cyclothymic, another said that my depression was too severe, so I had bipolar II, and yet another (my current pdoc) believes that I have both!! The bipolar spectrum is very fuzzy. This forum is home to everyone who falls on it, regardless of where.

I hope that you'll enjoy your time here.

Exactly what Secretum said. Cyclothymia actually is listed as a bipolar spectrum disorder, along with BP I, II, and NOS. This forum is definitely where you'll find plenty of information and commiseration, so please feel free to post here anytime you like. You're among friends.
