Not sure if this would be the place to post this or in the med section but I am having my manic highs now.........Question being.....Does anyone know of a good allergy med....ack my allergies are killing me.....that you can take without increased agitation during a manic high? I have been feeling up for 2 days now and during the day I am taking sudafed but at night I want to take an OTC allergy med that won't keep me from getting my few hours of sleep I do get when feeling like this. I take Restoril for sleep now but when I feel like this it is even more difficult, if at all, to get sleep.
Thank you!

I really don't know how much this will help you, but I also take restoril from time to time and take Allegra for allergy symptoms. I've not had any trouble with interactions.

Benedryl but check with your doctor first benedrly cannot be taken with some antidepressants. It contains Dyphenhyramine Hydrocloride which is the main ingrediant for most sleep aid medications ( like for example Tylenol pm)

I am very sensitive to medications, and I have found Claritin to be good for my allergies and not cause me to have side effects like I've had with other allergy meds, such as Sudafed (which made my heart race and made me feel nervous and jittery). You can get Claritin over the counter now, which is great. Of course it always helps to talk with your doctor, or like Dottie said, a pharmacist. I hope you feel better soon!

Just don't get Claritin-D, which has pseudoephedrine in it. Basically, don't use any allergy med you have to sign for...they all contain pseudoephedrine, the precursor for methamphetamine (which is why you have to sign).

Thank you ALL! Myself, I do actually use Benedryl every night to help with my sleep. I have tried Claritin and I felt horrible but I did not even think about Allegra sujin. I used to live up north and now I am in the deep south and my allergies have changed sooooo much! Thank you all for your response! Looks like I will be hitting the drugstore tomorrow!
