Micro-dermals reject after a year or two, too. I don't think corset piercings are supposed to stay in, anyway, because they are shallow piercings?

I wanted to stretch my lobes...still kind of do. I am not doing it though because I don't want to decrease my chances of getting a job because of a mod. :\ I like piercings more than tattoos. My favorite one is the labret, but again, I'd never do it. I like the aesthetics of it but that's about it.

I watch tattoo/piercing tumblr blogs.

The picture didn't work, MM.

I used to get pierced a lot, because everything I got would eventually grow out. I've had 2 put in my eyebrow probably 4 or 5 times in each eye brow, the scar tissue is very easy to feel.

I've found something to replace my desire to have the pain of a needles. Acupuncture. I did that for a long while and now I do Physical Therapy for my head. My PT does dry needling which is pretty painful. What's odd is that I am not a pain for pleasure kind of guy, but I think getting put into some pain here and there is therapeutic for me. It used to be tattoos and piercings, but now I can go through some pain and have it have a positive impact on my well being.

That was also on my list, but a friend of mine has one right in the same place I want to get one.

Mine were into the back muscles but my healing powers are amazing. It was suppose to take 8 months to heal. I didn't even get to lace it. There are flesh color plugs and I believe anyone under 1 gauge is likely to heal if you want to take it out. If it's a low gauge punching it may be easier. I'm sad micro-dermals may come out. I don't have the money to replace every 2-3 years. My skin can only take one more try. I think I fixed the link.

The left leg is Spawn. I've always been a comic book nerd. Al Simmons (aka Spawn) was, on a base level, a good person. But he got sent to hell and was forced to trudge through it against his will. I always felt like that was me in a different way. I always thought this mind I was given was impossible to deal with but I had to trudge through and do it anyhow. On some level, even given the mind I have, I am a good person most of the time. That maybe sounds dumb, but it makes sense to me.
DAMN! Those are HELLA nice tats! (sorry for the language)
Thanks for this!

I don't have any photos of my mine and no one who can take it for me... too hard to take a picture of the outside of my right ankle. But, it is a sunrise/sunset over the water with an infinity symbol on the sun...kind of looks like eyes. I call it my bipolar tattoo as it is forever new beginnings or forever ending.

i would never reccomend a punch type piercing. they cause damage and rarely heal right. permanent holes, infections...

the correct piercing needles and surgical grade jewelry with the threads inside the post, never on the outside, should do the trick.

Haha, I was just telling my husband how we should go get tattoos today. I currently have 7 tatoos, most of them I had done while not manic, they were planned out extensively. The one on my foot though, that's a diff story. I just decided that I wanted to get a tattoo for my husband (was just bf at the time) and went in the tattoo shop and just picked out a koi and the chinese symbol for love, and got that put on my foot. He did a study abroad trip to china, so I figured it would be something he liked.

Here's a pic of it: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...887448dbe4.jpg

I got 6 or 7 of them during a several month manic phase! Don't regret them, thank goodness, but I would just suddenly decide to get one and I would leave work early and go to the tattoo parlor.
Thanks for this!

When I had a manic episode at 15 I put a deposit down to get a tattoo but my mum found out and told them my age. When I was 18 and manic I got a tattoo across my lower back I absolutely hate it and wish I'd never done it! During my hypomanic episodes I got my lip, nose, tongue and navel pierced but took them out like a year later. Mania and hypomania can make you spontaneous. Glad you don't regret your tats

I have gotten a tattoo while hypomanic. It was right before a big event where I was wearing a sleeveless dress. I didn't account to the fact that the healing process took a bit and had to be really careful during that event not to scrape my new tattoo. Oh impulsively! How I love thee.... yeah no.

But I still want to get more tattoos. Maybe even extend the one I do have. This time though, I will try and wait until I am in a stable-er mood before I get another one.
