OK, so today is my 2nd day of being off of Geodon. I did a taper and finally went off completely yesterday. I have to admit, I was very worried about the effects of withdrawal, as I've heard horror stories. However, the anxiety is not too bad, which the Xanax helps, and I do have some nausea, but the big thing is trouble sleeping. I'm hoping to start getting a better night's sleep gradually over the next few days.

BTW, I decided that I wanted to try to go without Geodon to see if I really need it. My pdoc and I are hoping that I can remain stable with only an AD and a mood stabilizer and not adding an antipsychotic. I've only had some mild hypomania before in my life and never a bad manic period, so I'm not sure the Geodon was really doing anything, other than sedating me heavily.

Anyone gone off Geodon? I'm curious to hear how it went.
