I spent the weekend in bed. Have a hard time getting anything done. That frustrates me.

Sorry to hear you're having a hard time. I have a hard time getting anything done even when I'm sitting up. It is very frustrating, I agree.

Are you feeling any better today? Welcome to PC by the way.

Depression can really knock you down and out. One strategy I have is if I'm feeling really depressed I'll force myself to take a shower and put on my clothes. That way I'm pushing myself toward being a human. It's important to try to stick with the routine if you can.

Another of my strategies is to watch comedy shows or movies. Even if I'm not in the mood to laugh or smile, it is better than bogging myself down with drama or the news. Keeps the mind on other things.

Great suggestions! I feel like Ive slipped back into a depressions..made a fool out of myself at a bar. I'm just trying to take it slow with myself. Just try to do a little bit at a time..dont tackle a big project all at once. Baby steps..will take the pressure off of being overwhelmed byt everything you need to do.

Hey Fibereagle Welcome to PC !

I have alot of problems with depression.. Some days I can FORCE myself to get up and get things done by breaking stuff down to easier more tolerable pieces .. But somedays I just really cant function.. I try really hard to not beat myself up over it as that just causes me more problems ..

Sorry your having to struggle with this .. Know your not alone

There are many wise helpful people here.... I'm so glad I found PC as the folks here have helped me sooooooo much .

Good Luck and again Welcome to PC

Welcome aboard! During my depressions I have a tough time even getting out of bed. I'd like to take a shower and get dressed, but the mere thought of getting in the shower is too much for me. If it's a school day, I just get dressed, even though I'm not freshly clean. In the winter, when my depressions hit the lowest spots, I can go a full week without a shower, or even getting dressed. (After that, I can't take the grunge anymore and get into the shower.)

You are definitely not alone.
