ideas? proven tricks? We like feeling giddy at times, we like feeling at one with nature or whatever it is that you personally like about hypo. Btw, what do you personally most enjoy about hypo?
But do we avoid the costs? And I do not mean just by super power drugs. Sure I can take 1250 mg Depakote in addition to my Lithium, have hand tremor as if I were 80 years old and not have hypo at all. But I do not want to. I want to take little Depakote, have reasonable tremor and occasionally enjoy being giddy. I want balance. I want being functional but not an automaton and not crazy at the same time. Is it too much to want? |

I'm with you on trying to find the 'balance.' I hope to one day figure it out :/
I love the intense creativity that comes with my hypo... like a never ending stream of thoughts I can translate into paintings or writing or something. |

Probably. LOL!!
But, you know how it is, craving that hypomanic 'high' when you get SO much done and have such a great time doing it. I'd love to feel like that every day! It's the aftereffects that kill us---I think most of us have had the experience of flying so high that we crash hard and burn fast. So yes, I think it's probably asking too much to want a drug or treatment that leaves us with the mild highs and prevents the full-blown mania and depression......but we can dream, can't we? ![]()

I think we all deserve a good balance.
Maybe one day we will all find that if even for a little while at least.

I hate that feeng. I hate seeing people expecting me to "light up" and go off, or trying to goad me into it. Therapy has changed me; i'm not my mother anymore.
