Feeling aggitated

Every feel that there's everything but nothing in the world to do at the same time? That's how I feel right now. I could type out a novel and sing a million songs of sorrow and dance. Internal restlessness. I want to hug everybody and run around and yet be in the corner in a ball crying. Probably the beer and coffee together weren't a good idea.

Yeah, I don't know about you, but I am generally way too tempted in coffee shops to actually buy more coffee

I have some art work & beading I want to get done before Friday......don't want to stay up all night to do it though because......but really could use some extra hands to get it done while you are awake...lol.....just kidding. When I can't sleep, I usually try to do crafts or something....but then if I'm really tired & can't sleep, I usually end up messing something up rather than doing the perfectionist job I am used to.

Reading can usually put me to sleep....but lately, I had to start taking something to get myself to sleep because I'm not in a good place emotionally right now & it keeps me awake if I don't take something to knock me out.

Do you have a mini-trampoline? Maybe jump on it during a really good song.

I've been feeling similar to you lately. I think it's because my doctor added Abilify to my meds.

I have been waking up about 5 times per night lately. I'm not happy about it at all. Starting to feel sleep deprivation. Really need that sleep.

Sometimes when I'm feeling like you describe, I post funny threads on Facebook. Once in a while, friends join in. I'll post whatever pops into my head. Gets pretty silly sometimes.

Maybe if you're awake in the night again, you can connect with some of your friends in other countries. Might be daytime on their side of the world.

Hey I just wanted to let you know that abilify made me manic.

Also, to you Moose, are you manic or hypomanic? Because wanting to go put and
dance and hug everyone but hide and not sleeping are all hypomanic symptoms
of mine.....

I dunno if I'm hypomanic. I dunno if its just the coffee. I feel a bit calmer right now. (Finally home) but i'm not tired.

I had the beer at dinner time. I wonder if I shoulld try ativan again or if that's too much too soon.

I don't mean this AT ALL as a reccomendation for you, but i used to take Ativan almost every day, for a need to calm down. It probably wont work, but do you have any 'sleepy time' tea? also, really hot baths help me calm down.

I might have camomille tea.

Thats probably better than nothing. have you in the past had luck with sleep 'rituals'? you could have a bath and drink tea, listen to calm music, whatever has worked in the past. even if it doesn't get you to sleep, it could help calm you so you can get to asleep eventually.

Yup, I do believe it has done the same thing for me.

I haven't gone to a psychiatrist yet. When I got insurance again a year ago and told my new doctor that I had been diagnosed bipolar about 20 years ago, she put me on Celexa. I spent a rollercoaster year on it. Then she added Amitriptyline. I couldn't sleep. She changed it to Abilify a couple of weeks ago.

Now I'm taking Celexa in the morning and Abilify at night and feeling quite manic.

I've got an appointment to see a psychologist next week, so I'm working toward getting in to see a psychiatrist to work with the psychologist and get me straightened out.

Why do MDs think it's OK to put a bipolar person on an anti-depressant?

Purple, celexa made me manic. Another time I arrived at Wendy's and didn't know how I'd gotten there or what in the world they did there. I had to call my then-pdoc and she was alarmed and took me off immediately. (Still never diagnosed bp then)

Didn't take any drugs. Had some milk. Chatted a bit. In bed with tv on. Heating pad seems to be helping a lot.
