So happy your feeling better. Glad your migraine went down to a 1. I had one yesterday all day it was around a 7. Ugh! I use my cold gel pack under my neck which helps.

Thank you! The services they provide is med adjustment. It is not overnight, it is, I believe, 9-9. And, answering Venus' question, the issue would have been the dosages - I have been doing so well recently that my p-doc, who just left and I will see a new one on Wed, reduced my dosages. So the issue would have been whether they should be dialed back up again if I am not managing.

I got very attached to my p-doc. She had such an infectious smile, you would not believe it! Her smile alone was healing. I miss her and I am worried about the new doc - what kind of guy is he? So that worry, as I realize, contributes to my anxiety. I've been through too many ****** p-docs to have valid reasons to worry. But what can I do - my wonderful p-doc left for the VA system and I am not a veteran nor plan to become one!

Anxiety has come back. I am reading Wikipedia, preparing for the interview, and I get that feeling on the left side of my chest that I get with anxiety. It sucks.

Ex, who is aware of the problem, suggests I treat it as alcoholics treat hang-over: they just tolerate it, knowing that it too shall pass.

I have lots of fruit at home eating which, I know, would have quelled the anxiety: cherries, apples, blueberries, grapefruit. Blueberries are for ex for tomorrow and the grapefruit is for the girls for tomorrow, but I would have liked to eat cherries and apples... Gravenstein apples, my favorite... Only have had 1 apple which is already more carbs than the endocrinologist said to have in a snack. I have no idea how I will abide by this low-carb diet she prescribed (30-45 g of carbs per meal, 15 g of carbs per snack) given how much I love fruit.

Cannot have chocolate for the same reason: have used up my carb allowance.

I sympathize with you in losing your pdoc, HB. Recently my pdoc's practice dropped my insurance. She has been very accommodating, assuring me that I can call her instead of scheduling appointments so often, but we have gone from meeting every two weeks to changing the span to twelve weeks. Also, I avoid the phone, so I cannot bring myself to call her even though my t wants me to discuss a med change with her. I can file insurance and get some of the money back when I have an appointment, but it still will be way more in cost, and since I quit work, money is tight in our household. Three of us out of six in our family deal with some type of treatment for mental issues, so between meds and dr,. appointments it gets very expensive!

Oh my, from bi-weekly to once every twelve weeks must be incredibly tough. Now, this might be an off thought, but can the t call her to discuss the med change, on your behalf? Does the t take your insurance, btw?

Yes my t takes my insurance, and yes, she would call on my behalf, and has asked me several times if she may do so. The problem is me-I don't want my t to talk to my pdoc because I am not ready to deal with the issues that require a change in medication. I know I am being cryptic, but at this time, I am not seeking advice, I just want to live my life, pretending that I don't have to adjust certain areas because of the bp. I'd be happy to try to explain my situation in a pm, but it is too hard to do so on this post.

MTW (while brewing strong tea), do you remember what you did, if anything, to make them go away? They certainly wear me down...

I have unexplainable anxiety. Not enough to take Klonopin, but still. Feel slightly nauseated from anxiety. Well, maybe tomorrow will be better.

no, unexplained.

i overstayed my own welcome - my usual bedtime is at 10, but my guests - my ex with two daughters - were really busy and arrived at 9 instead of 5 PM. So I went to bed at 11PM. The doctor in the past who told me to go to bed at 10 explained that I otherwise I may be missing the window of opportunity to fall asleep. I think he is right.

hamster i hope that you figure things out soon. I'm sure your doing fine when it comes to work but your putting to much pressure on yourself. you seem to be a strong woman with very good instincts so if your gut leads you to therapy.. I say go for it. You will be highly missed while your away

Anxiety. That unpleasant sensation in the chest.

Went for a short walk, took a break from work, shot some pictures in the park, sent them out. Came back, felt a little better. Started on the project and sent an "early prototype" for review and feedback. The day after tomorrow is my new p-doc visit. I very much want to learn what kind of man he is. Even if I do not like him, there would be some certainty. Now it is all uncertainty, which feeds my anxiety.

I will tell him that I got really attached to his predecessor and the transition is hard on me, and hope he will understand.

No anxiety today. Finally met my new p-doc. He is barely 30, short and super-skinny. At first it was embarrassing but I made myself treat it seriously and told him everything. He found all my stressors real and respected them! He recommended the treadmill against anxiety as this is something non-pharmacological that helps (I notice that as my HR goes up, anxiety goes down).

Treadmill has been helping. The problem is, I do it in the morning and anxiety strikes in the afternoon. I think I should find some optimal time to do the treadmill to stave off anxiety, maybe during the lunch hour - closer to when the attack usually begins. I feel that the benefits of a morning workout wear off by the afternoon. Has anyone experimented with finding the right time?
