I feel a little out of place here (picture is about... a year out of date - haven't cut it since last year july) but I have shoulder length brown wavy/curly hair. Lucky in that its very low maintenance and I just kinda push it around and finger comb it (I'm a terrible metrosexual).

I used to straighten it when I was younger though, ha! My fringe used to reach halfway down my neck. Now I go for the grungy - stay away from that boy sweetheart he's bad news look. (You guys were all having fun discussing hair - so I wanted in on it )

Why do boys seem to get the loveliest hair... and eyelashes! My older son is like that. My younger son is so blonde you can't even tell he has eyebrows haha.

I want curly hair! I have some wave but not evenly, so I usually use a high quality straight iron. It seals in the moisture, that's what they said at least. And it makes it nice & shiny. It is long, and I do not have gray yet.

Hamster - I would worry the diffuser would make it frizzy, no?

Trippin: so in September I will ask.

BlueInanna: good point, it might. What about without the diffuser? The ones at my gym are without the diffuser, and realistically that is where I should be doing my hair, after a morning workout.

I think if you use a quality leave in conditioner or a quality defrizz serum, comb through hair once, then dry with low/medium heat (if there is any choice of heat at the gym) gently scrunching up the hair as you go, and stop before it is fully dry. That's how I would do when I had a perm when I was younger. Lately I've been using organix Argen oil on my hair and skin, and I really love it and it's not too expensive.

Also dont wash your hair everyday. You can also try stuff like olive oil/avocado/ect or other hair remedies to streghten and soften hair.

Mine is dark brown/red. I dyed it. Its normally a med-dark brown.

I don't. I think it is another reason the hair is of such high quality.

ha ha I am the exact same way. I have been blessed with great hair, It does anything and everything I want it to do, but I do not do it. I even went to beauty school with no intention of ever working in the field just so I could do my familys hair and my own. I do none of their hair. I was not good at doing hair the whole time I was in beauty school. I can however do my own hair very well but choose to instead put it in a nice sloppy bun on top of my head day after day. its been in a bun for months with out me fixing it. I let it air dry every day after my showerr and then put it right back up. My hair is pretty air dryed too, I get pretty waves but just cant stand it to be down anymore???? Not sure why that is either....

Trippin, alas, I will never be able to send you enough hair for extensions! My hairdresser said that to give hair, I must have at least 12 inches in length. Unfortunately, my hair has never grown so long, even when I was a little girl (which peeved me back then). It just stops growing after a few inches.

Funny we are all talking about hair when my avatar is a close up photo of my hair... not my natural color, though. I actually have light brown to blonde hair, but I dye it an awesome burgundy color and lately, I have been wearing that with purple highlights. It is so fun. To take care of it, I go to a hair dresser who studied under the same author that yours did, Hamster, and I don't wash it every day. When I get out of the shower I put a towel on it for a short time so that it doesn't get too dry. I flip over upside down and put mousse in my hair, then I flip back, make a part, and then move little sections of hair across the part so that I don't have a straight part any more. Then I put a little more mousse in it, let it dry stiff and then decrunch. It sounds like a lot, but it is so low maintenance.

That is what I thought! I thought that it was a close-up of your hair and it is! What is the name of your mousse? Is it from DevaCurl by any chance?
