So I'm BP 1, have severe anxiety, am a former addict, have PTSD...blah blah blah. He's a trucker and will b gone for 5 weeks before he can come home again. Been rapid cycling, i.e. every day, several times a day. He gets mad&tells me to snap out of it...he's been to my therapist who gave him TONS of info bout my conditions&he said he understands but I think he may have just said it to get out of there!!! I can't control how I feel most of the time&I can't just "snap out of it"like he wants. I feel sad that he is leaving but I guess I'm coming off as being hostile&mean. Why? I'm not mad at all but he thinks I am. I'm just sad. I take Lamictal 200mg every am, klonopin 1mg 3times a day&Seroquel 400 mg every night. The meds actually help me out a lot&I have a counselor who is just wonderful. How can I make him understand how I am feeling? Am I just crazy or something???

No crazier than I am. I'm BP1 too.

It sounds like your coping skills aren't working very well right now and you have lots going on. Do you have a list of things you can do when you feel this way? Maybe go to a movie, or listen to soothing music, or go out with a girlfriend?

Is the frequency or nature of the rapid cycling a new thing? I am just wondering if your meds need to be tweaked?
