Eunoia

Ran across this word yesterday. eunoia (U-noy-a) It come from the greek, used in rhetoric as a description of ones argument. It also means beautiful thinking, a healthy adult mind. It seems that most of those in my support group were not comfortable with the word normal. Maybe eunoia might be better.

I did not know you had a support group. Maybe I missed something in your posts.

I use the world "normal" to describe those people who think that everyone should fit into their little boxes and behave exactly as you expect people to behave. "Normal" people tend to be that way because they strive for it. I consider them "Cursed by Greyface," unable or unwilling to see or admit to the chaos in their own life, living in their houses that are all the same with perfect lawns, and glaring down their noses at those of us who face the chaos head on everyday like we're the freaks...

Eunoia sounds unique, I like it. Normal can be a hurtful word, or just a word.

I use normal to describe most people not like me. Lol it's not a hurtful word in my book, but I imagine to some it is.

I think it's a beautiful word. I'm not a huge fan of the term normal because of its watered-down definition.

I like eunoia. It has a more specific meaning than the very general 'normal.'
