I have never had an energy drink but I do drink black tea and coffee. http://forums.psychcentral.com/showthread.php?t=236019 is a very long thread (currently 65 posts) on all forms of caffeine, and you will find information on redbull there as well.
no offense, but it would be lovely if you could stick to the default font of this site take care |

Thank you, that is so much better. And I promise you, you will find info on redbull in the long thread, it would just take you some time to wade through irrelevant responses. But it is there.

hi sweepy,
i am not a fan of redbull. i think for me it is too sweet, and tastes like aspartame/fake sugar (really toxic stuff). not that i'm perfect nutritionally, far from perfect. i really like coffee and tea, sometimes sweeten with honey or sugar in the raw, yum. |

My understanding is that coffee and tea have antioxidants, while redbull and other energy drinks do not. Is that right?

I have never seen Redbull, but it is worth checking what color it is: clear color is better, as caramel-colored drinks such as Coke are carcinogenic.

i believe it does have a bit of caramel color... or maybe that was when someone bought me some sort of redbull plus alcohol drink in a bar :/ now that one tasted really bad.
sweepy - try to find something healthier to drink if you can. the doc is right i'm sure that it is not good for bp. |

I often find myself jonesing for Dutch Bros. Red Bull with lemon-lime and boysenberry flavored soda. This stuff is the bomb---perfect for the after-lunch slump. Unfortunately, it does get me somewhat wound up, which is not such a great thing when I'm on the manicky side but GREAT when I'm a quart low on energy. I know it's bad for my bipolar in general, but so are coffee and tea and I'm an inveterate caffeine junkie.

Red Bull has less caffiene than a cup of coffee and the taste is gross. I prefer my energy drinks strong and to taste better. I do find they effect me more than your average person claims but, don't tend to crash from them like I would a few cups of coffee.

I don't mind Monster, like NOS and Rockstars.
