I've never been on any meds before. 25mg of lamictal + 20mg of prozac. I decided to take them at night for consistency's sake. I don' t know how to feel or what to expect. I feel like I should try it though, just to see if they help or not. I'm not anti-med, just a cautious person. Hopefully things go well and I can start feeling better. Fall is my favorite season of the year, hopefully I can enjoy it

I hope I don't throw up. That's the big one, haha.

My first night of lamictal had me up all night in the lab! It was a bit crazy.... I quickly switched to the AM.

I take both lamictal & prozac in the AM.

I hope this combination works for you!
Thanks for this!

Thanks for the support everyone! I'm kind of going this alone, so it's nice to have some encouragement every now and then

@eclogite
Did you go through any other side effects? Or was it just the insomnia?

To the best of my knowledge, Prozac is taken in the morning lest it can trigger insomnia.
Thanks for this!

I was told it can go either way, as in give you insomnia or drowsiness. I'll just have to see how it effects me.

Sure, how it affects you is what matters.

I have to take Lamictal in both the morning and at night for some reason, even though it makes me somewhat drowsy. My pdoc is easy to get along with, but he was pretty insistent that I divide the 200 mg dose, so I just take it the way he told me and drink LOTS of coffee. The Celexa I take in the morning because it would keep me awake half the night if I were to take it then. Your mileage may vary.

I had a very bad reaction to Prozac. It made me really, really angry. Like I wanted to hurt my roommate. So just be aware that some side effects are not run of the mill. And good luck!!! I'm sure you'll do fine!
Thanks for this!

I take Lamictal and abilify at night. Zoloft in the mornings.

It sure can seem neverending with med increases and adjustments, so don't lose hope. I know that it is easy to do sometimes. I've done it a few times... losing hope that is.... but hang in there.

I remember when I first started, standing over my new mood chart trying to be as accurate as possible. Swearing to myself that I would be the best patient ever. Being as accurate as possible on the chart, standing over it and being absolutely sure of anything I put on it. lol... man has it changed now!

It's an incredible time for you right now.... don't be in a hurry... just be honest. Honesty when taking meds is the most important thing you can do. You have to be your own advocate and really stress things that are going on while taking them. It will get to the point that you will be able to tell Pdoc what changes you think need to be made and why lol.

good luck on your new journey!
Thanks for this!

Thanks for the support everyone! So far, I don't know what to think. I don't really feel any side effects from what I can tell. Well there is one, but I don't know if it's a side effect. This is probably way too much information, but my balls hurt! I was trying to research if prozac can do this, as it only started after I started taking it. I know that's a really awkward thing to bring up, haha, but it's been kind of annoying. Obviously discomfort down their is nothing to take lightly, so I'll ask my pdoc about it, and if that's not a side effect I'll see a regular doc. I'm kind of a hypochondriac so I'm trying not to freak out lol.
