Hey all. This is my first thread (inspired by Trippin), so here it goes. I've never met anyone with bipolar before. Only been around "normals" and "stupids" who just don't get it. They run when my mood shifts gears and can never follow my deep train of thought. For once, I can be understood and can follow almost everyone here in their thoughts. My intellectual, yet severe and trueful sarcasim, as well as brutal honesty, has left me mostly isolated and without friends. These "normals" whine about depression, stress, anxiety, and feeling lost; Hell, I can knock all that out before I get to work in the morning (if they only knew). I'm glad I found the right boat this time. Its your day, so its your mood; make the best of it.
Hugs from:

Thanks for this!

Here's an official from me to you, which is only fitting as I am your inspiration this is the only place that I know of where the rollercoaster has other passengers, which provides a nice break from the drivel of isolation that day to day life soo freely dishes out to us! Hope you like it here, I love it

Well, now you've got the chance to "meet" a whole BUNCH of bipolar peeps! Although many of us are dual diagnosis (BP and recovering alcoholic here), we all know this rotten disorder intimately and we share the good AND the bad with one another. We're also very supportive of those who are having a tough time. So WELCOME to PC---we're glad you're here!

Hi wt2bnrml. I too do not know anyone with bipolar, other than my sister who is actually schitzo-effective (I never know how to spell that, it's bipolar and schitzophrenia combined) and have also lost or isolated myself away from friends because of this sucky "disorder", so that's why I came here as well.
It is helpful to hear stories similar to your own; you can relate.
Welcome
