It is kind of that way in this world, at least here in America. But it's not the pysically fit that gets to survive. In society today, that does not get you anywhere anymore unless you run marathons or work a labor job like me, nope, it's not that kind of fit that 'survival of the fittest' refers to anymore.

it's the emotionally, mentally fittest anymore. With all of the laws governing what we can and can't do, it's the one who can deal with all of the crap and control their own emotions to get what they want that is considered the fittest.

It is the one who can walk against the crowd and not quit. it's the one who can keep their motivation when everyone is telling them that they are crazy. the one who can keep moving forward when everything is against them that is the fittest in this world.

It is us, those of us who have to deal with mental illness and keep moving on that is the fittest. those of us who have to deal with so much pain and uncertainty that will come out on top, cuz we don't give up. we struggle through.

those of us that have to learn to be strong for survival.

that strength is what makes us the fittest lol.

that's how I look at it anyways. being physically strong won't get us the better job. won't help us when life gets us down. won't do anything except let us lift more at the gym! lol!
Thanks for this!

We have also survived as a species because of our diversity. Think about how our immune systems work, and we instinctively seek mates that have differing genes than ours. They've proved this with studies on phermones, and our sense of smell plays a huge role in finding an attractive mate.

From my understanding, surviving off of disability money isn't as easy as it may sound.

Hope you feel better soon
