Do you have physical changes with your mood swings? I have IBS and it gets worse when I am on a "down." I have night sweats on "high" and freeze on "lows."

I have no physical changes other than appearance: I have an incredibly hard time taking care of my hair and clothing when seriously depressed. My former p-doc once noticed that I was getting better by the way I looked.

You can tell which phase Im in by which jeans Im wearing, Hamster lol! During mania I simply do not eat. Idk how I go like I do with no caloric intake at all. I drop up to 2 jean sizes if a manic phase lasts a month. But when I hit the depressive state- I eat like a 400lb linebacker after a fast! I gain it all back and go back to my "fat" jeans.

I forgot one but since I feel it starting I was suddenly reminded: migraines. I only have them on the depressive end and they are mind blowing, light-sensitive migraines with intense auras. My auras manifest as zipping, flashing neon colored lights.

Dark circles under my eyes. I think it is the look of mental illness.

I glow during hypomania, just like when I was pregnant! How do I know? I notice first, but always thought it was that grandoise thinking that had me, but these days, everyone comments on it. I told my friends I have 'gorgeous days' I dont look any different depressed tho, and dont have any episodic ailments either...
Thanks for this!

How weird if you look back not too far just a day or two ago you'll see a thread titled temperature. I sweat on my manic highs and freeze with 50 blankets on my lows
