It is nowhere on the horizon, but I know very well what I would do with extra cash if I had it: I would hire a biweekly cleaning service. I have an unusual combination of traits: on the one hand, I am incredibly messy and detest cleaning; on the other hand, I love cooking and having guests to entertain. My mother sucked at everything: she did not clean and did not cook. My paternal grandparents were good at everything: cleaning and cooking. And I am a mix. So a cleaning service would be a dream come true for me: I'd be able to invite people over without any embarrassment.

What is your dream come true?

With 6 minor kids, a grown son, his wife, a husband of my own (God knows those things are messy! Lol), 3 cats, a puppy and a guinea pig in my home I'd have to say I'm w/ u, Hamster, but I'm thinking more along the lines of a full time maid! Like Alice on the Brady Bunch.

3 cats here, too (Adele/my own, Maddy/foster, and Tommy/foster), but that's it: they are the only ones who keep me company. So for us, a biweekly service is plenty, but for you, sure, a full time maid is the way to go.

Mine: Adele - a gorgeous Maine Coon
Maddy - a tri-color Calico, red-white-black, very shy and skittish
Tommy - 100% black including the whiskers . Weighs almost 17 pounds and should weigh 12 pounds - but he is losing weight little by little, like me .

I think Annabelle is technically a main coone. Thats what my daughter said when she researched him online.

If I had extra money I would shop for Christmas presents.

Or buy shoes. I can always buy more shoes.

I'd just put it away for retirement so that maybe I won't have to work until the day I die just to survive.

My husband and I would build a house. We like to contract it ourselves and do a lot of the work.

If I had the extra money, I would buy new shoes and buy my boyfriend a pair of new shoes/backpack. I don't actually need a lot at the moment.

I would also want to have 100,000 dollars that would just be in a bond with 5% interest (or more) for 7 more years so when I decide to start a family I will have enough money to finance stuff and then I could safely take a 3-4 month pregnancy leave.

If I had extra cash that came from winning the lottery. I would help this homeless man and his daughter who come into my work all the time. I would get them an apartment and pay their rent off for a full year.

I would have the exterior of my house fixed.
Rotted wood is just hanging in places.
I worry now when it rains...

Realistically, I would pay off my bfs mortgage so we could finally get a place better suited for my family (especially my son) where we can have a yard and I can use my green thumb to grow food for my family and actually compost and have a place to feel the grass under my feet (aside from the grass on the parkways in our not-so-desirable neighborhood. A place for my dog and son to play would be wonderful.

The dream: With extra money I think I would go on a retreat-I have always wanted to go to India- or Thailand. I would love to go to an ashram and have some time that is 100% dedicated to myself and my spiritual growth. (I feel selfish saying I would do something just for me but this is fun time, right?
