I just have a quick question. I have no job haven't worked in over 2 yrs, dont judge me. I live with parents, and Im 26 years old.. I have no money, no resources etc. Im was diag bipolar at the age of 14, but finally started seeking help with a phyc doc.. Now i cant afford the meds on my own at all. Does having a disability like bipolar, qualify you for medicaid ? Thanks

From what I understand, medicaid is something that's based upon income so I'm assuming you'd be a good candidate for it and it should cover you for several visits with your t and pdoc.

It depends on the caseworker, it's not suppose to but it does. You'll also have to get a note from the pdoc that you can't work. If you get denied fight it. In the mean time look into catholic charities, they are on a sliding scale and help people get medicaid. I wish it was easier but w/o a child or being male it's really hard to get help.
