I think I'm finished now, good friends. I've accomplished what I set out to do and that is to let someone know who wanted to change his life by personal managing of diet, etc., that it is possible to reduce the strong medications often prescribed for this illness. You know--the lemon thing,
reduction of white flour products, cut back on red meats, and introduction of fatty acids (omega 3-6-9), dropping the alcohol and tea and chocolate for those sensitive to it.

I apologize for the careless and unthinking things such as "unsurmountable" for "insurmountable", "two lemons is" rather than "two lemons are", and the misspelled words-Gads!

I'll be 78 in about 4 months and will be coming back now and then for encouragement about your life span and care and good wishes.

In the meantime, take care of yourselves and do some research on this. (There is an interesting article yesterday, for example, on how SSRIs lead susceptible folks to alcoholism and removal of the SSRI causes the craving for alcohol to cease. ) It's on the addiction forum here.

Well, have a calm, quiet day today and I'll see you later.

Was someone being rude and ridiculous here? I must have missed that thread. I hate that when some people disagree with another person, they start attacking people personally, maybe because they feel somehow threatened. I don't know. That is so uncalled for and immature. Some strange power-play I guess. Don't let the turkeys get you down. Your input is appreciated by some here, and that would seem to be enough. We can't please all the people all the time, but your information was helpful to some who I am sure will miss your input. I hope you will reconsider and stay, but I appreciate your need to move on if the abusive verbage from a select few is just getting to be too much.

Well, I am confused why you are going, but do come back and share again if you feel like it.

And life is too short to worry so much about grammar and spelling, especially if you're already 78. You are forgiven. Take care of yourself.

Oh, I love you all, and I'll be back once in a while; but the major work I wanted to do is now done.

There were never any negative things that prompted me to move on. This illness causes us to have those moments, and I understand it.

Take care all.

Ok, wow, you've definitely got more life experience than me! (When you mentioned the age of 45 on one of the threads, I thought that's how old you were.) In fact, decades more planet time! What you are doing is clearly working for you! (Understatement.)

I understand the need to devote one's energy in various places in the quantity that one deems appropriate for each. You have determined yours, and that is as it should be, but feel free to alter that (hint, hint ). Till then, best wishes.

Ha, and no worries on the spelling/grammar/incorrect word thing! I swat myself over such things too. (Though not as much in posting, because sometimes my intended tone seems to come through better in playing it fast, loose and animatedly conversational, which might make no sense or even be accurate assesment(!)) Truly, it's ok. In the bigger picture, it's the feeling behind the post that matters the most.

Hope you at least stick around at least long enough to see the response posts here.
