Ok so the past 2 nights I've been acting like I'm 20 and dancing at bars and going club hopping. Really??? I'll be 40 this month. I'm having a great time too but feel I might be regressing to my old days. I did stop drinking before I got drunk and I didn't sleep with men. I did find myself looking but who doesn't right?? I'm just nervous because I'm enjoying this too much. No plans to go out again for a bit but I never know one minute from the next. Am I overreacting???

Good job on controlling the alcohol and the men!
That's great, progress I think. It's nice to dance and be with friends and stay in control. I have gone out dancing at bars and not on the bars counter top lol, several times in the past months, and feels really good to stay in control, stay within the safe, right, good boundaries. I have to agree at our age, it's pretty crazy to get as crazy as we both were getting.

Passion, I think that if you're going out, controlling your drinking, and just looking (like you said, who doesn't? I get yelled at it quite a bit. I should learn to look when I'm alone, I guess
) I don't think there is much harm. It's not like it's illegal to have fun. So what if you're almost 40? That doesn't mean you're not allowed to do things you enjoy. I went out with my aunt a few months ago (I am 22 and she is over 40) and I can say she out-partied me big time. As long as you don't lose control of yourself, and are having fun, just what is wrong with it?

I agree no problem going out and havig in a long as you don't drink to much and hook up but defiantly looking is not a problem. I agree who doesn't look
just keep it between the navigational beacons and you'll b good. Just have fun and done over think it so much.

Oh phew!!!! I feel on my meds, I have such control and love how I can stop myself from those nights of shame. I. haven't enjoyed myself so much in a long time. The meds def keep me in check. Thanks for keeping me positive. I was nervous. Don't want to go backwards to the other life I lead. Not pretty.

Passion, I think it's the right thing to be cautious, but you did control yourself, nothing wrong with having fun...looks like you've got a good head on your shoulders. I can definitely relate to not being sure if what you are doing is appropriate, but good thing to check in with everyone and gauge everything.

Thats wonderful that you can go out n have a couple of drinks and a nice time. You have a social life. That is good. Nothing wrong with that at all.

There's nothing wrong with having fun and being aware that we need to be a little more aware

I think you are doing GREAT, Passion! Have a wonderful time with life and as long as you wake up in the morning w/out a list of regrets, you are doing it right!

Appreciate the great input. I was in such a good mood all weekend and its the first time in years I've wanted to just dance and sing karaoke. Was just with girlfriends and had a blast. I realllyyyy was worried I'd mess up but get this---I was the one that said its 12:30 and if we don't get home we won't be worth diddly squat tomorrow. We all left and were home be 1:00 am and I got up and went spinning. Was great to have such control. Never been like this in my life. Woohooooo lol.
